Etyleno-propylen EPDM Dutral, Keltan, Vistalon, Nordel, Epscyn, Buna AP, Royalene, Polysar

Ethylene-propylene rubbers are copolymers of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of a diene.

The resulting terpolymers of unsaturated members outside the main chains are characteristic of their chemical resistance, and at the proper stabilization of high resistance to weather and ozone. They are good electrical insulators. Mixtures of EPDM rubbers are recommended for seals working in water systems, washing machines and automotive hydraulic brake based on the basis of glycols.

Temperature range of application is from -50 to +130°C, for special variety increases to +150°C.

Ethylene-propylene vulcanizates are resistant to:

  • hot water and steam
  • acids and alkaline solutions
  • ketones, esters and ethers of low molecular weight
  • solutions of soaps and detergents
  • flame resistant hydraulic fluids type HSC, HSD
  • brake fluids based on glycols

Ethylene-propylene vulcanizates are not resistant to:

  • aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated
  • mineral oils and greases
  • propellants
